It isn’t often that a Mayor of any city, let alone Brockville, will boldly make a pledge on camera. But faced with a damning petition overflowing with five illegible signatures, we had him dead to rights. There’s going to be a glorious statue erected atop a glorious saloon. Soon.
Today marks the 1 year Anniversary of BrockVlog, and an Invincible Vince Brockvlog scored a moral victory for all those in favour of Groundhog Day. Watch this episode and take note. Mayor David Henderson categorically backs the erection of a statue.
You get the sixteen (signatures). You get the dollars. You get the okays. We’ll talk to J.R. Baileys and get ‘er (the groundhog statue) up there.
Mayor Dave Henderson
Hot off the encouraging words of the mayor, Lovable Lance Brockvlog hits the downtown hotspot of Mrs. B’s Variety in order to fill the petition. Owner Dave Wilson is all about that.
yes pass the weiners please.Good luck with the statue, you can drink beer stand outside and admire the groundhog with a weiner in your hand.I don’t think the Mayor was that enthusied with the cause? Do you?
Hey you all,
What a great start to ’07 with these first few episodes. I especially like this one about the Ground Hog statue. Maybe you could get the Humane Society to sponsor a “live” ground hog like Wiarton Willie or Puxatony Phil. How about a contest to name the GH. What about, Billy-Hog Brockville.
I like the way you involve the civil servants in your stories. Your Mayor must be a real good sport. What’s your Chief of Police like? Why not involve him in an episode, say about, how cops show love on Valentine’s Day.
Keep up your excellent work.
Aunt Susie
Spin your mayor round and round,
make him real dizzy,
laugh when he falls down.
Okay that was a sucky square dance call.
Where did that blindfold come from? Vinces stash or did you buy a new one on Kincaid Street?
All joking aside Henderson plays well.
How about a marriage of a JR Bailey’s customer in a groundhog suit (or Lance) with an above average sized weiner from Mrs B’s !!!! Call it OP Ground Weiner!! Maybe it was just me but did Lance seem a little excited about the larger weiners soon to come?
the city of brockville! what a hoot! or is that a grunt? go for it ! our new mayor has the right spirit, as long as they don’t raise our taxes for advertising it as a new attraction downtown..
i bet you jim & connie {of J.R.s} will love the ground hog to be on top…..hey dave h., maybe that should be a new idea for all downtown businesses?wildlife in brockville perhaps?starting out with jr baileys..teehee…just a thought..hhmm
Ok its been two weeks where the heck is the next show? I am waiting for some cold, cold, cold adventures around Brockville.
