BrockVlog is first and foremost an online entertainment source that focuses on issues large and small in and around the Brockville, Ontario area.
We used to be daily for about 5 months. Then we tried a couple of times a month. Then we skipped a few months. We’ve been erratic.
As of January 2009 we have committed to a Monday edition ostensibly to fill in the void of the local daily newspaper, The Recorder and Times, who are no longer publishing on that day.
This show has three main personas: Vince Brockvlog, Rock Brockvlog and Lance Brockvlog (oddly, none are related to the other).
Each character has developed their own niche on the program and after watching a few episodes you will most likely find that none of them are very adept at what they do.
Vince Brockvlog
Seems to be in charge, Likes to talk to shop owners, every once in a while tries to string together a little Johnny Carson-esque monologue which he calls a “MonoVlogue”.
Rock Brockvlog
Not afraid to stick a long microphone in anyone’s face as they are minding their own business, eerily reminiscent of CNN’s Wolf Blitzer both in appearance and in interviewing technique, tirelessly promotes cursive writing skills by giving out countless Free Pens.
Lance Brockvlog
Lovable guy next door type, always up for a great gag, undisputed winner of any type of massive food consumption challenge.
